Dressing of Poultry

One of the cheapest meat compared to others like beef and pork was the chicken. Others preferred to buy dressed chicken because of its price and also because of the kids. Children's love to eat poultry meat because it is more tender than other meat. This also requires minimum time allotment for cooking.

To dress a chicken, you need to hold the broiler on its feet and wings. Remove some feathers from the neck part. Cut the left side of the neck to hit the jugular vein. Turn the chicken upside down to let the blood flow to the basin. Prepare hot water in a pot. The water should not boil, just hot enough to vaporize. After bleeding, Put the chicken body to the hot water for de-feathering process. Remove the feathers carefully and include the tiny feather like structure.  The next step is the removal of the internal organs. Separate the giblets from the offals. Then remove the head and the feet. Cut the legs at the joint. Remove the wings. Then separate the ribs from the breast part.
